The Happy Dog
This special desensitization visit helps dogs become comfortable with grooming. In a gentle 20-minute session (with or without their owner), Emily will teach you how to brush your dog and get them used to the salon and grooming using Fear Free methods and positive reinforcement.
It's perfect for new dog owners, dogs new to professional grooming, fearful dogs, and young dogs. All puppies are required to do this before their first groom with Emily.

All services are by appointment only and require proof of current rabies vaccine and a credit card on file. Pricing based on dog’s weight and subject to change based on dogs coat condition, coat length and behavior. Cancellation, Late Fees & No Show Policies are available in the FAQ section and through the Groomore portal.

The LaundroMutt requires all dogs to have proof of a current rabies vaccination. This can be uploaded to the Groomore appointment portal, or emailed to info.thelaundromutt@gmail.com

Sorry, we cannot accomodate walk-ins. As a tiny business, we are only able to offer services by appointment only. Next-day/same week nail trim appointments are often available - for quickest response, text Emily at (828) 747-2197.

The safety of your dog is my number one priority, always. I’ve partnered with a veterinary office just down the road from The LaundroMutt to provide urgent services, in the very unlikely case of an emergency.

For everyone’s safety, your dog will be settled comfortably in an industry-standard enclosure while not being actively worked with or if they need to stay into the next appointment slot. However, we do our best to groom in a one-on-one format, and try to have only one family here at a time.

Once it has received its rabies vaccine which is normally at 16 weeks. We can’t wait to meet them!

De-matting and brushing are available after an evaluation of your dog. For any service involving brushing, the first 15 minutes of brushing is included in the price.
Any brushing needed beyond 15 minute is $1/minute. If your dog requires more than 45 minutes of brushing, your dog will need to be shaved instead to avoid pain or unnecessary discomfort to your dog.

Sorry, we do not groom recently skunked dogs. Here’s what we suggest::
DO NOT GET THEM WET RIGHT AWAY. Apply Skunk Shampoo first - lather all over, then wash. Do not get the dog wet without skunk shampoo- water alone will seal in the smell and make it much more difficult to remove. Wash your dog outside of your home if possible.
Once your dog does not smell of skunk, they can come back to see us. 🦨 -
Sorry, we do not provide services on female dogs in heat. If your dog is due in for a spa day, please call us to discuss rescheduling.

We can not provide grooming services to your dog friend within 14 days after surgery or if they have visible stitches or staples or an open wound (feel free to contact us with questions!)

Late Fee & Cancellation Policy
We require 24 hour notice from appointment start time for cancellation. If canceled within 24 hours of appointment a cancellation fee of 50% of scheduled services will be charged.
If there is no prior notice given for a missed/cancelled appointment there will be a no show fee of 100% of the scheduled services.
If more than 15 minutes late we cannot guarantee we can still accept the appointment for the day. If we can there is a $15 late fee. If no show then 100% of services are charged.
Grooming Waiver
In addition to having a credit card on file, each client must have a signed waiver to receive any service. It is sent when you submit your credit card information to hold the appointment, or your reference, you may read the text of the grooming waiver here.
Pick Up & Communication
Due to the small nature of our salon, dogs should be picked up within one hour of completion of services. We will call or text you to let you know when your friend is ready!
